Edgar Espero is an Oahu based photographer whose photography experience started with his first Kodak Instamatic point and shoot film camera. This early interest progressed to being a photographer for his high school newspaper and yearbook. He graduated from the world renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA with a BA degree in Photographic Illustration. Edgar has specialized in advertising, architectural, interior design, and product photography in both Hawaii and California. He is affiliated with the Hawaii Culture and Retail Association in sharing the spirit of Aloha through his passion in creating photographic images of seascapes and landscapes of Hawaii.
Edgar is devout in his commitment to his stewardship of Hawaii's coasts and beaches through his working with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii and Surfrider Foundation Oahu Chapter. In partnering with them, he stays focused on his part in maintaining the sustainability of Hawaii's waterways and beaches. Edgar is a staunch supporter of protecting our lands, oceans and beaches.
He has been fortunate enough to have lived in the Orient, Caribbean, Europe and numerous places in the U.S. Raised in a military family, Edgar has lived in the Philippines, Japan, Cuba, Italy and Germany. In the United States, he has lived in Hawaii, California, Washington State, Florida, Virginia and Georgia. His photography and travels has given him a unique perspective and appreciation of aloha aina and aloha kai. He currently resides in Ewa Beach, HI.
